ABOUT US
A lITTLE BIT OF HISTORY...
The club was founded in 1989. Since then, the Gloucester Concordes Speed Skating Club has nurtured and developed many speed skaters. Skaters perform at various levels such as regional, provincial, national and even international competitions. Some of our skaters reached Olympic levels and even won medals. Isabelle Weidemann, Ivanie Blondin and Vincent De Haître are three Olympic Athletes that started at our club.
Our mission is to promote the development of speed skaters of all ages and abilities in a safe, fun and inclusive environment while encouraging athletes to achieve their highest potential. Our goal is to:
- To promote the sport of amateur speed skating;
- To foster an interest and participation in amateur speed skating at all levels;
- To offer instruction, training, competitive opportunities and related recreational activities.
If you are new to the sport, or are seeking a challenge to improve your Personal Best time, one of the programs below is sure to meet your expectations.
